That Jews wanted the war in Ukraine !
Director-general of European Jewish Association urges Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon to send security forces to Jewish communities in Ukraine due to ‘growing wave of anti-Semitic attacks.
Such behavior points that Jews wanted this war in Ukraine !
Margolin voiced his concern that the anti-Semitic activity in the eastern European country would escalate to the point of claiming lives.
« Community reports indicate an alarming, and increasingly violent, trend of hatred towards Jewish targets – and so far, there’s been no reaction, » he said. « The challenge is clear and the State must help to take security measures for what has become a Jewish emergency. »
He also called on the leaders of European states to make it clear to the opposition members in Kiev that they are responsible for preventing the ongoing harassment.
« The complicated challenge in taking security measures in a foreign sovereign country is clear, » Rabbi Margolin wrote to Netanyahu and Ya’alon, « but this is an emergency. On behalf of the Jews of Ukraine, the Rabbinical Center of Europe and the European Jewish Association, I urge you to take every possible step, including dispatching security guards to secure the safety of Jewish communities in Ukraine, until the danger has passed. »
‘It’s time for the State of Israel to intervene’
The EJA director-general noted that the State of Israel was established to guarantee the safety of the Jewish people.
« The Israel Air Force aerial demonstration over the death camps in Auschwitz conveyed a clear message that the State would secure the safety of the world’s Jews even in foreign countries, » he concluded. « There is no need to reach such a radical situation, and unfortunately the time when the State is required to intervene has arrived. »
Also Canada’s government and its Jewish community can play an important role in helping to protect Ukraine’s Jews from imminent danger, says the head of the European Jewish Association (EJA).
“If the Canadian government would…ask all the government authorities in Ukraine to give top priority to the protection of Jewish institutions and communities, it would be a major, major help,” Rabbi Menachem Margolin, general director, EJA, told the Jewish Tribune by phone from Jerusalem last week. “It would mean a great deal.”
When asked what Canada’s Jewish community could do to help, Margolin said, “Ask their government to do whatever they can.”
B’nai Brith Canada was swift to respond. The Jewish human rights organization apprised Chris Alexander, federal minister of citizenship and immigration, of the dire situation at a face-to-face meeting convened at B’nai Brith headquarters on Friday (see story page 4). Alexander assured B’nai Brith that he would convey the information to Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird, who was in Ukraine at the time, and follow up with B’nai Brith.
“I told my congregation to leave the city centre or the city all together and if possible the country too,” Rabbi Azman told the Israeli daily Ma’ariv on 21 February. “I don’t want to tempt fate,” he added, “but there are constant warnings concerning intentions to attack Jewish institutions.”
President of the Conference of European Rabbis. Rabbi Goldshmidt, reported the 26 February Jerusalem Post, “has warned that tolerance of anti-Semitic statements by the Ukrainian government and opposition parties—such as Svoboda—give anti-Semites free reign to attack Jews.
To help avert a looming new holocaust in Ukraine, and to stop the present slide to a thermonuclear war triggered by those Western forces who continue to back this neo-Nazi insurgency, call Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop, and demand that Australia publicly denounce this re-emergence of fascism in Europe, and that she deliver that message to our allies in the U.S. State Department who have provided support and direction to this insurgency. And the CEC again calls on Michael Danby, the ALP Member for Melbourne Ports who is a major leader of the global “democracy” movement that has helped orchestrate the events in Ukraine, to also denounce this ongoing coup attempt which now poses a mortal danger to Ukraine’s Jewish community, to all citizens of Ukraine, and to the entire world.
