Turkey

Turkey is ready to cooperate with Russia on Syrian ceasefire, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Thursday.

Germany

Some 50 refugees staged a riot at an accommodation facility in the northern district of Reinickendorf in Berlin, knocking down doors, damaging furniture, stealing personal belongings, and physically attacking security guards, local media reports.

Joachim Kebschull, 61-year-old mayor of the German town of Oersdorf, home to about 900 people, was beaten unconscious by unknown assailants. Investigators say the attack may have been linked to the mayor’s plans to accommodate refugees, local media report.

When Deutsche Bank folds, the German economy will collapse. There will not be enough food for the German people, let alone the refugees Merkel poured in, and bloody food riots will be the new face of the multiculturalism promoted by Soros and the New World Odor!

One day after its stock soared from all time lows, following what so far appears to have been a fabricated report sourced by AFP which relied on Twitter as a source that the DOJ would reduce its RMBS settlement ask with Deutsche Bank from $14 billion to below $6 billion (and which neither the DOJ nor Deutsche Bank have confirmed for obvious reason), moments ago Bloomberg reported that six current and former managers of Deutsche Bank, including Michele Faissola, Michele Foresti and Ivor Dunbar, were charged in Milan for colluding to falsify the accounts of Italy’s third-biggest bank, Monte Paschi (which itself is so insolvent it is currently scrambling to finalize a private sector bailout) and manipulate the market. Two former executives at Nomura Holdings Inc. and five at Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena were also charged.

Looks like someone pulled a « pump and dump » on Deutsche Bank, buying low, and running up the stock price with a bogus report that the DOJ was writing off most of the $14 billion fine from Deutsche Bank’s role in the 2008 mortgage-backed securities fraud, then selling out before Deutsche Bank or DOJ could deny, making a handsome profit.

So, Deutsche Bank is still on the hook for the whole $14 billion, and worse, has been caught in yet another fraud.

When does it sink in? All bankers are crooks and cheats!

Israel

The announcement of a massive new aid package recently offered to Israel isn’t sitting well with many Americans, who would rather see the money used domestically, according to a new online poll. On Sept. 14, the White House announced a Memorandum of Understanding under which the United States will provide Israel with an unprecedented $38 billion in “security assistance” over a ten-year period, between fiscal years 2019 and 2028. At about $3.8 billion annually, the deal marks a significant increase from the current levels of foreign aid to Israel, which total more than $3.1 billion each year.

« Well, it’s not up to you to decide how we spend your money! As long as I have anything to say about it, Israel is your master, and you damned well better get used to it! » — Hitlery

USA

US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter delivered a speech to “missileers” at the Air Force Global Strike Command base in Minot, North Dakota Monday, defending the massive modernization of the US nuclear arsenal and issuing bellicose threats against Russia.

Attacking Russia in his speech, Carter said: “Moscow’s recent saber rattling and building of new nuclear weapons systems raises serious questions about its leaders’ commitment to strategic stability, their regard for long-established abhorrence of using nuclear weapons and whether they respect the profound caution that Cold War-era leaders showed with respect to brandishing nuclear weapons.”

The Obama administration, which recently signaled its decision to abandon even the Democratic president’s pretense of renouncing a nuclear first strike as official US policy, has attempted to portray Russia as responsible for igniting a new nuclear arms race. Given that Russia’s military budget is little more than one-tenth that of the US, and less than that of Washington’s closest Arab ally, Saudi Arabia, this amounts to an absurd pretext.

The nuclear saber rattling is being carried out by the US government, and Carter’s trip to Minot was part of it.

The defense secretary described the nuclear bombers and missiles as a force that served to “enable” US troops “to accomplish their conventional missions around the world.”

Syria

In view of the total failure of the US policy to regime-change Syria and overthrow Assad, the time has now come for the United States to make a fundamental choice: to negotiate or double down. Apparently, Kerry and others initially tried to negotiate, but the Pentagon decided otherwise, treacherously broke the terms of the agreement and (illegally) bombed the Syrian forces. At which point, Kerry, Power and the rest of them felt like they had no choice but to “join” the Pentagon and double down. Now the US “warns” Russia that if the Aleppo offensive continues, the US will not resume negotiations. This is a rather bizarre threat considering that the US is clearly unable to stick to any agreement and that the Russians have already concluded that the US is “not-agreement-capable”. The Russia reaction was predictable: Lavrov’s admitted that he could not even take his American colleagues seriously.

Okay, so both sides are fed-up with each other. What comes next?

India

India and Pakistan have again exchanged gun fire across the disputed Kashmir border, Pakistani military authorities say as tensions mount between the neighboring nuclear-armed rivals in south Asia.

« Pakistani troops befittingly responded to Indian unprovoked firing » which started at 4:00 am local time (2300 GMT) and continued for four hours in the Bhimber sector on the Pakistani side of the border, a military statement said on Saturday.

While the statement did not provide details on possible casualties during fire exchange, Indian officials said there was no damage during the encounter.

« There was small arms fire and mortar shells fire from across the border in Akhnoor sector which lasted for around two hours (4:00 am to 6:00 am), » said Pawan Kotwal, a top civilian official in Jammu and Kashmir state on the Indian side.

« No damage was caused. We are ready for any eventuality but it is peaceful in Jammu region, » Kotwal added.

This conflict could escalate out of control in a heartbeat.

It would be a little reassuring if our President was working the phones with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Sharif and India’s Prime Minister Modi to reduce tensions here, but I guess Obama’s shilling for Killary makes that all but impossible right now.
